Coronation Street fans are convinced newcomer Demi is linked to an existing character on the ITV soap amid her romance with Steve McDonald, after some suspicious behaviour
Fans of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street believe they know who newbie Demi is connected to, but it’s not who you think.
Viewers are suspicious that Steve McDonald’s new love interest in recent episodes may be concealing her true identity. Supporters believed she had revealed she was related to another character and maybe even that she was going for Steve.
As Steve opened up about his sadness over his divorce from wife Tracy McDonald, romance blossomed. After Tracy cheated on Steve with Tommy Orpington, his football hero, she moved off the streets to live with him overseas.
Fans first believed her to be Tommy’s ex because of her curiosity in Steve’s thoughts on the football player. However, a scene with Toyah Battersby made some viewers ponder whether or not she was associated with the new villain Rowan Cunliffe and his cult.
Apparently avoiding Toyah, with whom Rowan has had issues, she was seen after Rowan tricked her sister Leanne Battersby into joining his “wellness institute.” Fans have questioned if Demi is supporting Rowan and maybe aiming for Steve in response to Toyah’s attempts to persuade Leanne that he is a phony.
However, it seems that a few brand-new theories have surfaced that have the power to completely alter everything. With two other major plots on the program, many fans don’t believe Demi could be connected to Tommy or Rowan.
Rumor has it that Demi may be related to the missing Lauren, who is thought to be dead, or possibly that she is her mother. There is also a speculation that Demi will end up becoming the adoptive mother of Christopher Green, also known as Kit, Bernie Winter’s long-lost son who just joined the program.
A viewer said, “I’ll guess. She is the long-lost mother of Lauren. or the adoptive mother of Bernie’s long-lost kid.” Even if these thoughts sound a little far-fetched, we don’t rule anything out in soap opera world, especially Corrie!
Will Steve discover that his new girlfriend is a scammer who is trying to trick him, or is she someone who was involved in drug activity before she arrived? All viewers can do is wait and watch!
