There’s also a shock attack in the ITV soap next week
Next week on Coronation Street, there will be a double comeback despite anticipated exits. In the ITV soap opera, it opens with a hungover Simon Barlow, who acknowledges he can’t recall much from the day before. It depresses Nick Tilsley and Toyah Battersby that Leanne has gone for a treat.

Nick finds himself having to tell Rowan Cunliffe about an event with Simon and the urgency of his desire to talk with Leanne. Nick becomes enraged at Rowan’s callous response. Then, because Rowan understands what it’s like to float aimlessly through life, he advises they talk to Simon.
Later, Nick and Toyah do their best to dissuade Simon from going to the retreat as he gets ready to depart. Nick contacts Peter in a state of despair. When Toyah gets home, Simon is unpacking his belongings and telling her that his father, Peter Barlow, has given him an opportunity to work on the boat.
Nina Lucas, in the meanwhile, tells Stu Carpenter that she worries about Roy Cropper, who is incarcerated and won’t talk to anybody or leave his cell. Roy is startled when another prisoner, Roscoe, walks into his cell. He jumps up, sending his chess board flying. Roscoe, perplexed, then leaves him to his work.
Evelyn Plummer offers to Roy that they create a reading club while he’s incarcerated after eventually getting through to him. Roy is happy to have something to anticipate. But shortly after, Griff Reynolds surprises him by telling the guard that it’s nice to be back in Weatherfield Nick!
Additionally, an emotional Zodiac, Bernie Winter’s son, would have been 21 today, she tells her lover Dev Alahan. Bernie discovers her vehicle is being hauled away as she leaves for Paul Foreman’s feeding tube surgery. Bernie is certain that the guy he sees nearby—whom she does not know to be her son—is to blame.
Bernie then makes a call to the police station intending to file a complaint. Bernie, however, is taken aback when Craig and his associates show up with a cake for Kit—the guy from earlier—in order to wish him a happy 31st birthday.
Billy Mayhew is about to back his vehicle into a handicapped parking place at the hospital later when all of a sudden, another automobile swoops in. Kit makes the driver move by flashing his ID.
After returning home and noting the act of compassion, Billy and Paul tell Bernie about Kit, the policeman who saved them, but she leaves feeling encouraged despite everything. She calls Kit again at the station, expressing gratitude for his goodwill towards Paul and pleading with him to allow her an opportunity to present her side of the tale.
Abi Webster turns on the TV in the meanwhile and hears the hostess praising Corey Brent—the teenager who murdered her son Seb Franklin—and his football skills. Abi is horrified to see her husband Kevin have to admit that Corey is a member of his jail football squad.
After seeing the documentary, which portrayed Corey as a hero, Abi is ecstatic. Calling the TV firm in charge of the documentary, Abi and Nina forcefully enter the producer’s office and demand answers. Later, while browsing the Gazette website, Nina and Abi find solace in the encouraging remarks and are happy to see that a petition calling for the documentary’s cancellation has been launched.
However, not long after, drug dealer Dean gives Abi a call at the garage, telling her that he’s having trouble and needs her assistance. Watching on with wide eyes is Cassie Plummer, who is sent packing by Abi. She is quickly sidetracked, however, as Tyrone Dobbs must inform Abi that he has some startling news when he checks an email at the workplace and is terrified by what he finds out.
The sex film has been posted to other websites, and Abi is appalled by this. Just before the sex tape was made public, Cassie tells Kevin that she saw Abi fighting with drug dealer Dean and that she subsequently heard her setting up a meeting to give him money.
When Abi next sees Dean, she accuses him of creating the sex video while wielding a wrench. When Dean argues that he has no clue what she’s talking about, an enraged Abi doesn’t buy it. Abi is told to put down the wrench by Kevin, who comes just on schedule. Abi finds out there have been four more films published while Dean is being questioned by the police. But when Abi watches the video, she learns that none of them are genuine; they’re all elaborate fakes.
In other news, Carla Connor tells Sarah Barlow that she misses Peter, but when Simon shows her some pictures, she’s shocked to see one that shows Peter with his arm around a woman. Maria Windass confronts Gary about £10k missing from their bank account, but he explains that he had to buy a new boiler for the factory. Mary Taylor also urges Bethany Platt to mend her relationship with her family and move on from her past with Nathan Curtis.
