Since Ella Forster (Paula Lane) moved to Emmerdale, rumours have been circulating about her. Is she connected to Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) in any way? Is she connected to James Chase’s Tom King in any way?
It turns out that there is one unanswered question, and it really makes the receptionist very sad.
Her GP employer Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and her have developed a lovely little relationship, and things are progressing quite swiftly for the two of them.
They have reached a juncture when Liam extends an invitation to Ella to remain, but she seems surprisingly hesitant – maybe due to her secret-keeping or fear of everything happening at a million miles per hour.
The following morning, Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) is the one who accidentally discovers the tragic truth. She discovers Ella, who is homeless, sleeping in her vehicle while out for a stroll and is horrified.
Ella asks Manpreet to keep her situation private since she is so embarrassed. But Liam finds out rather quickly. Might this put an early stop to their relationship?
On the other hand, Liam has an idea for her: she should move into his spare room.
With the problem largely solved, it makes sense why she has been behaving strangely. But why does she live on the streets? Ella snaps at Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) when Mandy asks about her family, leaving Mandy perplexed.
Ella flatly refuses to have her picture taken as the photographer who has come for the celebration tries to capture it before it’s too late. It is becoming more bizarre.
Mandy becomes intrigued and issues a warning to Liam, telling him to find out what secrets Ella is hiding in her closet before he allows things to get out of hand. Liam follows her advice and begins questioning Ella; she refuses to answer and leaves the home.
Later on, however, she is seen sneaking into a care facility. Who is she visiting and what more is she concealing?
