In Emmerdale, Tom King (James Chase) made it clear that he was raising his hand when he hit Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) in the stomach.
He then made sure she was admitted to the hospital. His eerie artistry is now starting to hide his footprint.
Now that his aggressive tendencies are clearly visible, Tom finds himself in an unusually precarious situation. He just has to tell someone what he’s done and have them believe Belle, and then he’s done.
Has he done enough to protect himself, even if he’s set the stage for this by severing her from her loved ones and eroding her mental stability?
Probably not after realising that controlling Belle is going to be a new problem. When her guest is offered, she declines and asks Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) to come instead of Tom.
This makes Tom feel confused. Lydia and Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) have both seen changes in Belle, and he is aware that Lydia, who has had her own horrific abuse, would not need much convincing to accept Belle’s predicament.
At all costs, Tom has to get Lydia to quit seeing Belle. To regain control, he has to come up with a fresh strategy to put distance between the two.
Sadly, Tom is just too astute for Belle.
In an attempt to stop her from meeting Lydia and discovering what a monster he is, he schemes against her and devises a failsafe strategy. To what far will he go to avoid Lydia?
Is she at risk?
