Coronation Street fans work out who is targeting Abi Webster and ‘would put money on it’

The mechanic hasn’t been having the best of times but it’s only getting worse for her in the ITV soap

Fans of Coronation Street believe they have figured out who is going after Abi Webster, who was horrified to learn that a sex film involving her had been leaked. The mechanic hasn’t been having the greatest of times since the ITV soap opera has been reminding her of her son’s killer.

When Abi turned on the radio during scenes that aired on Monday night (May 20), she was taken aback to hear the announcer praising Corey Brent and his football skill despite his continued incarceration. When Abi’s husband Kevin was forced to admit that Corey was playing for a jail squad and was featured in a new documentary, she was appalled.

After seeing the video and being angry with Kevin for withholding the information from her, Abi was ecstatic to see how Corey was portrayed as a hero. She subsequently told Nina, and the two of them went to the TV company’s headquarters where the documentary was produced. They forced their way into the producer’s office and demanded answers, and after a complaint, police officer Craig Tinker visited her.

But on Wednesday night, May 22, Abi’s situation worsened when she fell for a deepfake pornographic film. Tyrone Dobbs, her friend and coworker, informed her hesitantly that he had gotten an email with a sex film of Abi, and that’s when he told her about the video.

After saying that she had never made a sex tape before, Abi seemed embarrassed and worried that it was something she would forget from her drug-addicted past.

Abi talked to Kevin, who thought the video was genuine and was displeased with his wife’s background as well, even if she hasn’t learned that the video is a deepfake with someone setting her up. Abi said she would go to the police because she was determined to find out who had provided the footage.

The footage seems to have been taken at the same time as her old dealer Dean unexpectedly returned to the concert and demanded money. Cassie Plummer saw their fight, during which Abi insisted he leave her alone. Later, Cassie watched from the garage door while Abi called Dean to set up a meeting.

Although she believes Dean is the person behind the video, Corrie fans believe Abi should look much closer to home in the future. @carolehenderson6 stated: “Would put money on it that Cassie is behind this deep fake video she is desperate to split Kevin and Abi up as she wants him for herself.”
