Coronation Street exit ‘sealed’ as Toyah Battersby’s arrested for murder

ITV soap opera spoilers say that future events on Coronation Street will completely upend Toyah Battersby’s existence.

The viewers of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street are keen to find out who killed Lauren Bolton, portrayed by Cait Fitton.

The primary suspect, Roy Cropper (David Neilson), is in prison, but the identity of the true murderer will soon come to light. Is it another Weatherfield resident, or might it be Roy after all?

In later scenes, Georgia Taylor’s character Toyah Battersby is shocked to see Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) professing her love to someone on her laptop. Toyah assumes this person is Rowan (Emrhys Cooper), but Leanne disputes this.

After Toyah reveals what she heard, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) is taken aback and races home to see Rowan and Leanne cuddled up on the couch.Can Leanne provide an explanation?

Toyah begs Leanne to see Rowan for the real him, but as soon as the cops show up at the house, their chat is interrupted.

After finding a baby’s corpse buried in the park, Kit (Jacob Roberts) arrests Toyah for murder a short while later.

Viewers learned earlier this year that Toyah, then 19 years old, gave birth to a stillborn baby girl.

She found out that the park where she buried her child was going to be dug up, endangering her privacy.

Viewers of the ITV soap opera may remember that, after a night out with Sam Kingston (Scott Wright), Toyah was viciously raped in 2001 by an unidentified assailant.

Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) subsequently located her and assisted her in returning home.

After the horrific event, Toyah gave a statement to the police and was examined in the hospital, which made a number of the male inhabitants suspects.

In the wake, Toyah battled agoraphobia and found it difficult to adjust. When Toyah realised that her buddy Phil Simmonds (Jack Deam) was her rapist and identified his voice, the story took a terrifying turn.

Phil attempted to stop her from leaving after learning that she was aware, but Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) intervened, hearing her cries and rendering Phil comatose.

After that, Phil was found guilty of the rape and given a jail sentence.
