Coronation Street’s Alex Bain confirms what’s next as he leaves soap as Simon Barlow

After leaving Coronation Street after sixteen years, actor Alex Bain has revealed his future ambitions. At the age of 22, the actor who played Simon Barlow when he first came on the cobbles is about to film his last scenes.

According to ITV soap opera spoilers, Leanne Battersby eventually makes her way back from the retreat and says that she had to remain an additional night since her workshop went over. However, Leanne is incensed that no one thought to talk to her before Simon announces that he’s heading off to join Peter on his boat.

fiance She is quickly reassured by Nick Tilsley that he left a note for Rowan, which he clearly neglected to deliver. Leanne, however, continues to lose her mind and accuses Nick of plotting behind her back with Toyah Battersby. Leanne waves her son off and uses her laptop to have a conversation with someone. She tells them that Simon is no longer with her and that she wishes they could be together.

Alex verified that April will mark his departure from the Salford-based set. In the last image he posted from his Corrie dressing room, he was seen wearing a bright red Dryrobe coat, one of the show’s trademark items for keeping cast and crew warm while shooting outdoors on the well-known street.

“That concludes Simon Barlow’s talk for everyone! I’m grateful to everyone at Coronation Street for the most amazing fifteen years of my life. Alex used emoticons of a face holding back tears and a string of hearts to write. “PS: I’m going to miss this coat seriously,” he continued.

“It may be cloudy skies, but I love this place so much,” Alex said as he took one final glance at the studio with the massive Coronation Street sign over the wall. I cherish my Corrie family, you all.”

Alex expressed his feelings about his time on Corrie coming to an end, saying, “Yeah, the show has been the foundation of my life, but I’m 22 now, so maybe it’s time to see what the future holds. I felt very positive about it.” You become a member of a family there; they are folks I will always be in my life. It’s not simply a job.

“They are buddies, not just coworkers. Of course, saying goodbye to folks makes everyone leaving unhappy, but that grief only makes up a tiny portion of the experience. That does not lessen the thrill and expectation, however. After Chris left, it seemed right that Simon should follow in his father’s footsteps since he had gone through a lot and was alone without him. I can have new experiences of my own now that Simon is off on his own.

Even while Alex is happy with how things turned out, he has acknowledged that he would miss his Corrie persona. The father of one stated, “I am going to miss Simon because we have spent so much time together over the past 16 years.” In a sense, we are the opposite of one another. I’m so relieved that he gets a good ending, that he and his father are indeed sailing into the sunset, and that there is still hope for him. He hasn’t died, therefore I don’t need to weep for him.

“He is not incarcerated. I can see him enjoying himself greatly with his father, sipping orange juice on the boat in the middle of nowhere. Their relationship is probably at its greatest right now.

And it won’t be limited to recollections of Simon. In response to the question of whether he had brought any of his persona with him, he said, “I have got his fake leather jacket.” “I was determined to keep that,” Alex went on. Even the label inside says “Simon,” and I’ll leave it there because it makes me happy.

“I have also removed Simon’s name tag from my dressing room mirror. And because it’s the only belt that’s ever fit me correctly without requiring me to drill additional holes, I’ve taken it. I still have his jacket, belt, and name on the mirror, along with a tonne of incredible memories.
