The unexpected and shocking death of Ethan Anderson (Emile John) on Tuesday, May 28th’s episode stunned the Emmerdale community.
As he and his father, Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), were ready to drive to court, where Ethan was supposed to be punished for driving charges that resulted in Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope) suffering significant injuries, the lawyer passed out at home.
Later on, viewers saw Nicky’s mother, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), running Ethan over and then leaving the scene as payback for what had happened to her son.
Later, when she paid him a visit at his house, she showed no regret for the things she had done to cause him to be injured and beaten. She even threatened to “Finish the job” if Nicky didn’t make it through.
Following Ethan’s death, his distraught father Charles took to the threat-making scene, promising that the person responsible for the hit-and-run will be held accountable “by almighty God.” Charles was certain that Ethan had to have died as a result of concealed injuries he received during that encounter.
When Charles and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) returned from the hospital with the news about Ethan, Ruby was speaking with Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson). We witnessed the horror on her face as she recognised that her actions could have contributed to his death.
Ruby is obviously not so cruel that she would really seek the death of someone else’s kid, despite all of her rough words.
Ruby is scared of what could happen to her while everyone waits for the post mortem results to find out whether Ethan was killed in a hit-and-run or not.
The moment Ruby recognises the cops in the village is shown in a brand-new spoiler video. Ruby is almost immobilised with terror, but Caleb Miligan (William Ash) reassures her that it “Could be about anything.”
Caleb begs her to remain true to the narrative they have decided upon and pretend that they are going about their daily lives.
When PC Swirling (Andy Moore) shows up and asks whether Caleb and Ruby have a few minutes to spare, Ruby’s concerns are validated. “I’m sure you’ve heard of Ethan Anderson,” he continues.
Attempting to behave properly Ruby claims that they were there when the ambulance arrived to take Ethan away.
Surprisingly, Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) is the only other person in the video. Recently, we learned that Ruby and Rose are related, and that Rose was collaborating with Ruby to bring Kim Tate (Claire King) to her demise.
At Dawn Fletcher’s (Olivia Bromley) request, Rose has been residing at Home Farm.
Dawn was abandoned by Rose when she was five years old, but it seems that Rose is now on a mission to get to know her daughter, especially because Dawn needs all the assistance she can get when her son Evan is in the hospital with leukaemia.
Because of her past relationships with Dawn and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), Rose already inspires mistrust in Kim Tate. However, in more recent scenes, viewers have seen Rose discussing the plan against Kim with Ruby, giving the impression that she is trying to back out of their agreement.
With the knowledge that Ruby is being questioned by the police, what will Rose do? Is this her opportunity to break their joint agreement?
Will the police uncover the truth about Ruby’s actions against Ethan?
