Sammy Winward, an Emmerdale actress, allegedly “disowned” her daughter when she sold explicit photos online.

The 38-year-old Katie Sugden actress is said to have had a falling out with her 19-year-old daughter Mia Dunn after the latter began posting explicit photos and videos on the internet. Some fans have, however, pointed out that given Sammy’s background, this may be hypocritical.

During her soap opera reign, Sammy used to appear in her underwear for magazines like FHM, and she was included in their list of the Top #100 Sexiest Women. But according to Nicola McLean, the Page 3 icon, this is “totally different”.

Over the weekend, Nicola asked her followers in an Instagram Stories poll what they would do in a similar situation and whether they would “disown” their kid. 82%, she disclosed, would not “sever ties” with their children.

Speaking exclusively about the reaction, Nicola, 42, stated: “I think we don’t have to embrace their decisions, but we have to love them. Most people said they wouldn’t disown, which I agree with. Having said that, I completely understand your desire to—well, not exactly disown—but rather your disappointment at being unable to communicate with them.

“And I believe that after seeing Sammy’s daughter’s Instagram post, she recorded a video of herself stating, ‘When you receive clout for being disowned,’ over the screenshot of the newspaper piece. She is certainly the center of attention.

“I can see why you would want to shake them and be incredibly angry with them. However, one lady replied to me in my direct message, stating, “No, I wouldn’t disown and in fact, I told my teenage daughters, I’m fully behind them if they want to do it.” If only I could, that is. And I thought to myself, “Really? That is really fascinating. So you’d support your daughters becoming porn stars? They are essentially acting as porn stars on their own website since photographs of underpants don’t sell.

“But still, regardless, they’re selling they’re selling sex. And by the looks of it, Sammy Winward’s daughter is selling explicit content, it isn’t just underwear.”

The I’m A Celeb star continued: “Sammy did lads’ mags at the same time I was doing glamour, but she only did lingerie, so it doesn’t make Sammy a hypocrite, as Mia’s profile isn’t just that.

“Sammy was still somewhat concealed, really attractive, but concealed. Back then, everyone was doing such shots, even Holly Willoughby. You can’t simply take one glance at it and say, “Her mother is a hypocrite because she wears underwear.”

“Her daughter is doing something much different than merely wearing underpants. And for that reason, we must inform others about OnlyFans.
