The Emmerdale episode from last night, in which Samson Dingle had the ideal chance to expose his unscrupulous friend Josh, has left fans perplexed. and failed to.

In this episode, Samson enticed Josh outside and pleaded with him to admit to bullying Matty.

Samson encouraged Josh that he should follow his example and turn himself in to the authorities, feeling horrible that they had all but destroyed Matty’s life. Josh resisted, shoving Samson away when he tried to coerce a confession.

Paradoxically, during their argument, Josh did come clean, telling Samson that he had pursued Matty because he was “asking to be robbed” and calling him a “freak” for “mouthing off” to him. Then he revealed to him his intention to carry his secret “to the grave,” getting away with it while Samson languishes behind bars.

Following Josh’s incredibly detailed rant, some fans speculated that Samson could be hiding something. Instead, he attacked Josh, which only made it worse for him when it came to the cops.

Fans responded to Samson and Josh’s altercation on social media as soon as the show aired. Many others questioned why Samson hadn’t bothered to capture Josh’s damaging admission on camera.

One perplexed fan questioned, “Why didn’t he record it on his phone?” on Instagram, after the soap opera posted a video of the couple.

“Unless you live in Soap Land, every smart phone these days includes a voice notes feature,” another person commented.

“Why didn’t he attempt to record him?” questioned a third.

One fouth stated, “He ought to have recorded the confession on his moby.”

Another moaned, “I thought he would have recorded the conversation.”

Rather, Samson attacked Josh, and a neighboring doorbell camera captured the encounter. After circling him in The Woolpack, PC Swirling took him into custody for the offense.
