This week, Oliver Farnworth made his Emmerdale debut as John Sugden. He also provided an update on Sam Womack, his girlfriend,’s condition.
Sam, 51, said that she had a breast cancer diagnosis two years prior.
After undergoing surgery, she declared in December 2022 that she was cleared to go.

“I just feel really thankful and really grateful that I caught it when I did,” she said at the time to OK! magazine.
“I’m grateful to be alive. It may seem strange, but I feel as though everything has a certain quality to it and I can appreciate its beauty.
“And I can’t stop crying because I’m happy.”
Afterwards, she and Oliver, 42, relocated to Spain to establish a new life in the Valencian highlands.
He has now disclosed the status of his relationship with the former EastEnder.

During an interview on Lorraine yesterday, Thursday, August 8, Oliver stated of the Ronnie Mitchell actress, “She’s doing incredibly well.”
He went on, “I’m amazed by her.”
Oliver, who was associated with Sam in 2021, praised her fortitude as well. He stated, “She’s been so kind of strong and determined through it,” adding that her diagnosis was the result of a normal physical examination.
He clarified, “They detected quite a high grade of cancer and were able to deal with that quite quickly, so we were very lucky.” She then had chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Oliver also talked about Sam’s therapy and how he dealt with the illness while playing in the West End and transferring houses.
Oliver has also talked about how Sam’s courage was shown throughout her health crisis in the past.
“[Sam] wanted to get through everything and get back on stage as quickly as possible,” he is claimed to have stated.
She is a true warrior who won’t allow anything to stand in her way. But, she was really generous, bold, and articulate when talking about her experiences.
