“I’d love to see her go full Battersby.”
Elle Mulvaney, a Coronation Street actress, has demanded that Leanne Batterbsy be the one to expose Rowan Cunliffe.
Leanne has devoted a lot of time and resources to the cult after becoming enthralled with The Institute. Amy was just recently exposed to it, and at first she seems to be on board, but Aadi Alahan will bring up a few warning flags the following week.
When asked if Mulvaney would like her character to kill Rowan in an interview with Inside Soap, she replied she wasn’t sure because she believed Leanne deserved to get right for being duped.
“I have mixed feelings about that,” she said. “A small part of me agrees that Amy should do it. However, I’d really want to see Leanne get her own back; I’d really like to see her go all Battersby and seduce Rowan.”
Mulvaney commented, “The pressure really mounts on Amy to invest in The Institute, but we also start to see some more of that weirdness coming out,” on the overall trajectory of the plot.
“Viewers will see more of what goes on behind the scenes…”
The actress also discussed the present “will they, won’t they” dynamic between Amy and Aadi, expressing optimism that they would eventually get into a committed relationship and mentioning the impact on other characters.
She remarked, “I like the dynamic it creates between Asha and Amy because Amy is obviously interested in Asha’s brother.” Furthermore, if Steve and Dev’s kids started dating, we all would want to see more of them together, wouldn’t we? Of course, I’m cheering for it.
