Emmerdale ‘brothers’ set wedding date after meeting while starring on show

After years of courting, Emmerdale actors Max Parker and Kris Mochrie—who portray brothers in the ITV soap opera—announced the date of their nuptials two years ago.

Two years after their engagement made headlines, Emmerdale’s on-screen siblings turned real-life lovers, Max Power and Kris Mochrie, have finally decided on a wedding date.

Since they began dating back in 2020, the two—who met while filming the famous ITV serial opera portraying Luke Posner and his brother Lee—have been inseparable.

It has now been revealed that Max and Kris will be saying “I do” and getting married in less than a year. Excitedly, Kris shared a vibrant countdown on his Instagram Story, tagging it with an engagement ring emoji, “365 days to go,” and “and 365 things to do.”

The sweet update suggests that the pair will get married in August of next year and that they have a lot of preparing ahead of them. Their love began with an opulent trip to Dubai, where they splurged on an incredibly decadent vacation. Their romance has been nothing short of a whirlwind.

The couple moved in together before the end of 2020, and soon after, they celebrated their engagement. Max popped the question at what he called “the happiest” moment of his life, according to the Mirror.

In sharing the happy news, Max posted on Instagram, saying, “He deserves the world, but the best I could do was promise him my heart.” HE AGREED. My happiest memory is this. My fiancée, @krismoc.”

He then disclosed that the engagement ring was emotional, containing a piece of his late grandmother’s beloved locket.

Max posted a happy photo of himself on Instagram, saying, “My dearest buddy, a wonderful soul, asked me to marry him yesterday.

“Words cannot express how grateful I am. We laugh every single day, and I’m so happy he entered my life. I adore him more than words can express. I was so clueless! However, it was flawless. This movie really tells it all.”

He went on, “Max had asked my mother if my grandmother had any jewellery.” My grandfather’s locket, which my mother still possessed, has been carved into the engagement ring.

“Very remarkable indeed. Thank you to our amazing family and friends, as well as the work that brought us together. and all of your incredible love. I’m one fortunate boy.”
