ITV Coronation Street fans say ‘there has to be’ as they ‘work out’ Alina Pop return twist

Watchers watched Alina return to the ITV soap opera this week, accompanied by Tyrone’s kid.

Fans of Coronation Street have intensified their belief in their most recent theory—that a terrible demise is imminent. Viewers watched the return of Alina Pop in the ITV serial earlier this week, when actress Ruxandra Porojnicu took on the role.

Three years ago, Alina fled Weatherfield when her brief affair with Tyrone Dobbs ended. Fans are aware that the mechanic dated Alina in 2021 but had an affair before to that.

After years of an intermittent relationship, it caused him to break up with Fiz Stapes, but when she subsequently discovered that someone else knew, Tyrone’s jealously became apparent. The character ultimately made the decision to break up with Tyrone following a difficult relationship in which Alina miscarried after Hope, Tyrone’s daughter, set fire to the house.

But Tyrone had no idea that Alina was expecting a child. Watchers of Corrie watched her depart Weatherfield and travel to the airport, where she ordered a tomato juice and was spotted holding her unborn child, perhaps putting a loving palm on her tummy.

Then, in scenes that aired this week on the ITV soap opera, Fiz ran into Alina in the parking lot of Frecho. The latter confirmed that she was only returned because she was summoned to testify as a witness in a case involving human trafficking and that she would be departing the next day. On her phone, Alina had a photo of a small kid that Fiz saw, but she dismissed it as being her nephew.

Fiz, however, was not persuaded and returned home to tell Tyrone what she had seen and that she believed he had a son. Before urging him to go look for Alina, she informed him that she was staying at the Chariot Square Hotel and would be departing the next day. However, when Debbie Webster told him she had already checked out, his attempts were futile.

Fiz became aware that her husband was irritated with her for not being able to reach Alina sooner, which caused tension between the two of them. However, as was seen on the August 9 Friday night broadcast, Tyrone’s mother Cassie Plummer stepped in to get Alina to tell the truth.

Alina called Cassie when she was at Street Cars and asked for a cab for her and her son. Unbeknownst to Alina, Cassie drove the cab herself to pick them up and return her to the cobbles. When Alina asked Cassie to turn around after discovering where she was, she was met with a surprised Tyrone.

After Tyrone forced Alina to acknowledge that he was her son’s father, the three of them went for a conversation where Tyrone got to spend some time with Dorin.

Later, Tyrone broke the news to Fiz that Dorin is his son and he wants to get to know him while he can so is paying for Alina to stay near the cobbles for the next few days until the trial is over. It came after Tyrone was seen seeking advice at the solicitors where they pointed out it was important to know whether Dorin had been born in the UK or Romania due to custody issues.

Furthermore, Tyrone’s question regarding custody has further strengthened the assumption that Alina would pass away in future scenes, something Corrie fans had already guessed.

“Alina is going to die, isn’t she?” said one. and Tyrone will be given custody of the infant Corrie.” Another said, “100% they kill her off – it’ll be the people she’s testified against ordering a hit.” “Alina’s death or child abandonment looms #Corrie,” said a third commenter.
