Kit Green’s next plan revealed as he ‘targets’ unlikely duo
There seems to be a hint regarding mystery newcomer Kit Green’s next move on Coronation Street. Only lately, weeks after they had reunited after decades apart, did Bernie Winter discover the hard way that she had been set up by her long-lost son Kit. Kit’s original mother abandoned him and did not communicate with him when he was younger, and he tried to turn her other two children, Paul Foreman and Gemma Winter, against her. Kit can never forgive her for this.
While this was going on, police officer Kit used the DNA of Lauren Bolton, who was missing at the time, to frame Nathan Curtis, who was taken into custody, while Joel Deering, the true offender, remained at large. On Monday night, Kit said that he wouldn’t say anything as long as he received half of the income from criminal Sid and his dubious counterfeit T-shirt company.
As Kit moves into Glenda Shuttleworth’s former room at the Rovers bar, he discovers it’s gossip centre and will suit him nicely. Next week’s teasers hint to more mystery for Kit. As he settles into the Rovers later in the week, he chooses to make small talk with Daisy Midgeley. Ryan Connor, Daisy’s romantic interest, proposes getting a drink after being impressed by Kit’s record collection. Why is Kit moving into the Rovers and what does he want with Daisy and Ryan?
Shock return for Tracy Barlow as Kate Ford reprises iconic role
Next week, Tracy Barlow will make an unexpected comeback on Coronation Street. When Tracy left the ITV soap opera to go live in Spain with her partner Tommy Orpington, Kate Ford left the show. Fans thought actress Kate had abandoned the serial opera when Tracy chose to leave Weatherfield and go look for warmer climes with her new partner, leaving behind her friends and family, including Steve McDonald, with whom she had recently divorced.
Next week, though, Tracy will unexpectedly return to the cobbles as part of a new plot for Ken and Cassie. After Ken hurt himself in a house accident, Cassie helped the Barlows take care of him while they were all preoccupied with their own lives and jobs. Tracy isn’t thrilled to see Ken again.
Next week, Tracy returns to Weatherfield and is startled to learn that Ken is hiring Cassie to take care of him. Tracy’s remarks infuriate Cassie, and Ken wonders why she returned. Ken feels she may be concealing something, but what might it be? She claims she is only there to be with Amy.
Joel Deering exposed by Dee-Dee Bailey after making big mistake
Joel Deering of Coronation Street will be revealed by fiancé Dee-Dee Bailey next week following a major error. Fans of soap operas will remember that Joel is concealing Lauren Bolton as a great secret. When Cait Fitton took on the position again last month, Lauren surprised everyone by returning. It was discovered that Lauren, who was thought to be dead, was actually alive after a vicious attack by Joel that took place weeks ago and about which Weatherfield inhabitants are still unaware.
The situation further became more intense when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital. Lauren covered her tummy, shocking everyone by disclosing that she was five months pregnant with his child. While trying to arrange Lauren’s relocation to Ireland, Joel has been concealing her in an unoccupied flat and continues to pay her covert visits.
But on Friday night, Joel poisoned pregnant Lauren with medicines that would cause an early labour, leading to horrifying and gruesome sights that sent her to the hospital. This week’s scenes include Lauren, who is scared about her prematurely born baby and wonders if he will make it out of the incubator.
And it seems like Joel could finally get rumbled next week when his fiancé Dee-Dee notices an odd detail. Joel’s laptop has a message on it inviting him to review his experience at Belfast Airport, which the solicitor sees. Dee-Dee questions her future spouse about it, confused. Joel realises in a panic that his scheduled assignment was cancelled, but is Dee-Dee spying on him?
Dee-Dee suggests that Joel’s ex-wife Emily might like becoming a flower girl at their wedding later in the week when he gives her a fairy charm for his daughter Maeve’s bracelet. Dee-Dee is surprised, though, when Emily admits that Maeve doesn’t have a charm bracelet and cautions her to exercise caution because Joel is still making rent payments on his former flat.
When she gets home, she discovers Joel’s briefcase and opens it to discover a pair of keys. Feeling certain that Joel is having an affair, Dee-Dee enters herself into his apartment and goes through the cabinets. What more will Sarah discover than she anticipated, and how will Joel hide his tracks?
