Hailed as “a legend” by Michelle Keegan, her former co-star on Coronation Street Helen Worth shared her story of receiving encouragement on the cobbles early in her career. Following the news that Helen will be departing the soap opera after 50 years, she made these remarks.
Michelle did, however, work at a number of establishments from the ages of 15 to 20 before landing her first position, including a make-up counter at Selfridges in the Trafford Centre and a check-in agent position at Manchester Airport. “She’s so lovely,” she went on. prior to my very first poignant soap opera plot.
The screenplay stated that I was supposed to cry since the plot was so dark. I had never acted before, especially on TV; Corrie was my first role. I recall receiving the script, and it mentioned that Tina started crying halfway through.
After six years on the serial opera, the former star left the show in 2013. Her character Tina was killed off, and she made her final appearance on Corrie on June 2, 2014. Since then, Michelle has starred in Netflix’s Fool Me Once, Sky One’s comedy Brassic, and dramas such as Our Girl and Ten Pound Poms.
