Coronation Street’s Jane Hazelgrove is best known for her role as Bernie Winter – but away from the soap she is married to a fellow actress

Jane Hazelgrove portrays Bernie Winter on Coronation Street, a beloved character recognised for her audacious nature and misfortunate romantic relationships. But off-screen, Jane has been blissfully wed to Isobel Middleton, a fellow soap opera star, since 2015.

Bernie made her dramatic TV debut in 2019 with a plot about stealing her pregnant daughter’s pee to sell fictitious positive pregnancy tests. She gained popularity on the street as a result of her intense devotion to her family.

Sometimes, away from the cobbles, Jane opens up about her personal life. She gushed over her “beautiful” wife during a 2019 interview on Lorraine on ITV, joking that the fact that they had never worked together may be the reason for their great bond.
