End of the road ‘confirmed’ for Coronation Street couple as they call it quits

Recently, in Coronation Street, Beth Sutherland (Lisa George) has been engaging in risky behaviour as she started a money-making plan.

As a side gig, Carla Connor (Alison King) quickly found out that she was utilising the factory after hours to make T-shirts.

In later episodes, Beth’s enemy turns out not to be Carla but rather suspicious police officer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).

Kit has been pursuing Craig Tinker (Colson Smith), Beth’s son, and he has made the decision to get involved in the trading of fake T-shirts. He understands exactly how to intimidate and control people as a police officer in order to achieve his goals.

Knowing that Sid has cut her out of the transaction and is taking all the earnings for himself, Beth feels enraged when she sees her accomplice selling their T-shirts in the station. She watches in disbelief when Kit shows up.

Kit makes the decision to fire Beth because he doesn’t want to lose control of the profitable company.

In this brand-new clip, Kit walks up to Beth at the cafe and gives her some change. Kit informs Beth that it’s a “parting gift” and that he can’t risk having her stay in Weatherfield much longer because she is a “liability.”

By the end of the week, he threatens to “report your little boy’s little secret to my big bosses,” so sling ya hook.

In the past, viewers have witnessed Kit coercing information out of Craig. Craig was quickly being a little coy about Beth’s illegal activity and how he had once covered up a crime for someone he loved during an ostensibly cordial drinking session at the Rovers.

He was referring to the time he saved Faye (Ellie Leach) and Emma (Alexandra Mardell) from prison over the car accident that killed an old man.

This is sufficient to put Craig in jail and terminate his career. Beth is ready to go because she believes Kit is genuine about his threats, but Kirk (Andrew Whyment) stands in her way.

He even enlists their dog, Peanut, who is wearing a charming little neckerchief that reads, “Marry me,” when he confesses to her that he can’t live without her.

Is Beth really going to turn down an offer like that? However, she is aware that Kit would act on his threat without hesitation if she stays in Weatherfield with Kirk.

It appears as though Kirk and Beth, one of the longest-lasting couples on the show and a popular favourite among fans, may be calling it quits after Lisa George announced in recent days that she was leaving her role after 13 years of portraying Beth.
