Emmerdale to air special episode as Belle imagines a future affected by Tom

There will be a special episode.

Belle has been abused by her cunning husband Tom, and Emmerdale will delve deeper into the matter with an hour-long episode that centers on her mental health.

Tom has been mistreating Belle, his wife, for a while now. He has been tormenting her even more lately by using her dog, Piper.

On Thursday, September 5, in a specially styled episode, Belle will be thinking about what will happen to her if she stays with Tom.

Tom has been causing Belle pain for months now. In the past, he had poisoned Piper to force Belle to leave a facility where she was receiving mental health treatment.

Tom feared that while he was abroad, she might reveal the abuse she had suffered. Therefore, he made up Piper’s illness to persuade Belle to leave early.

Tom cruelly struck Piper with his car last week with the intention of hurting Belle. The veterinarian then pretended to discover the dog injured in the road. Then he promised Belle that he would use all of his resources to keep her safe.

Afterwards, he informed Belle that Piper was not doing well and that she needed to say farewell. But a subsequent video showed Tom handing the puppy to a couple. Tom informed them that the dog had suffered abuse at the hands of its former owner.

Belle’s episode

Tom threatens Belle the night before the show, telling her that they have to be together and that he would never give up on her.

His words stay with Belle, setting off an incredible day. She pretends to be in three other lifestyles that may occur if she is made to stay with Tom.

The narrative centers on a bewildered Belle as she leaves her home and mingles with the residents of Emmerdale.

When Belle realizes what can happen to her in the future, she becomes extremely alarmed. She hasn’t disclosed the abuse to anybody yet. Is something going to change here?

Behind the scenes

Emmerdale has been collaborating closely with Refuge, a nonprofit, to make sure that the abuse narrative is fairly presented.

“I’m excited for everyone to see this dream episode as I feel it’s a great representation of what’s going on inside Belle’s mind and the constant fear even though she is no longer “in” the abusive relationship,” said Belle’s actress, Eden Taylor Draper.

“I am aware that viewers may find this upsetting and uncomfortable, but it was a very special episode to film, and I am proud that we are pursuing this to the fullest extent possible to give people a genuine understanding of what can happen.”
