The week of next week on Coronation Street is expected to include dramatic scenes as Carla Connor ‘exposes’ Joel Deering, signalling the impending doom of the villainous attorney.

As Joel Deering’s collapse approaches, he will be revealed on Coronation Street the following week.

Joel was ultimately identified as the person who attacked Lauren Bolton and almost killed her. Joel had groomed Lauren, given her presents and money, and forced her into a sexual connection before becoming violent. Lauren went into hiding after he attacked her when she tried to stop things.

Fans learnt that Lauren was expecting Joel’s child just a few weeks ago, when Lauren’s destiny was officially announced. After being drugged by a sick Joel, Lauren recently went into preterm labour; her newborn boy is currently in the hospital. Joel will be freed in later scenes despite DS Swain’s attempts to discredit him since there is insufficient proof. Joel’s former partner Dee-Dee Bailey appears to be threatening Lauren once more, which might result in an investigation and eventual revelation.

But according to previews, Carla Connor will face the villainous solicitor next week, so Dee-Dee isn’t the only one who plans to expose Joel. Carla meets at the Chariot Square Hotel with a possible supplier in later scenes. But soon after her appointment ends, she notices Joel’s entrance and goes to the wicked solicitor’s table to tell everyone in the room that he is the man who beat women and attempted to kill Lauren. Does Carla face danger, and how will Joel respond?

Meanwhile, Dee-Dee will investigate Joel’s background many weeks prior to the planned wedding day. Dee-Dee takes matters into her own hands and reports Joel to Swain after he threatens Lauren. Then, she finds out that Joel was formerly employed by Walcotts, a company that specialises in assisting young people in danger. Dee-Dee ponders whether this could hold information about his former transgressions and activities before arriving in Weatherfield.

What will she uncover during her investigation, and will it be the proof required to ultimately bring Joel to justice? Viewers will have to wait and see when the scenes broadcast next week, although it’s hinted that she could uncover some dirt on him from his past.
