Fans of Coronation Street believe they have uncovered a nasty twist about Kit Green, and it may not be good news for a certain cobbler.

Fans of the soap opera will remember Kit’s entrance earlier this year as the long-lost son of Bernie Winter. Only weeks after their decades-long separation, Bernie discovered the hard way that her long-lost son had set her up. When Kit was younger, his real mother tried to turn her other two children, Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman, against her. Kit couldn’t forgive her for leaving him and not getting in touch.
However, earlier this year, Joel Deering, the true offender, was still at large when Nathan Curtis was caught because police officer Kit planted Lauren Bolton’s DNA, who was at the time missing. In the most recent scenes, Kit has been seen secretly working with criminal Sid and his dubious counterfeit T-shirt company, threatening to keep quiet as long as he receives half the revenues.
But Kit was recently found out when Beth Tinker, whose son Craig works with Kit in the police, saw him collaborating with Sid, who was peddling knockoff T-shirts that Beth had made. Beth claimed to have grumbled that Kit wasn’t the good man he’d claimed to be and accused him of being a twisted copper. It appears that in future episodes, Kit would threaten to blackmail Beth and force her to permanently leave the cobbles, putting his career at jeopardy.
Nevertheless, some believe there could be a darker motive, particularly because Lisa George, who played Beth on the soap opera, allegedly left the show after 13 years and already recorded her last scenes. Taking to Twitter, fans expressed their concerns in various ways. Some wrote: “#Corrie kit digging a hole for Beth’s body,” “#Corrie Beth blackmailing Kit which could end badly,” and “Clueless Beth is out of her depth with Kit. #Corrie.” Still others added: “Beth really needs to be careful when dealing with Kit as Beth is on her way out of the cobbles soon #Corrie #CoronationStreet.”
After 13 years, it has been rumoured that Beth actress Lisa has left the serial opera and even recorded her last scenes. The actress reportedly spent a night out with her co-stars last month, which sparked more suspicions that she would be moving off the cobbles. Actress Lisa, who has been a cast member of the popular ITV soap opera since 2011, brushed off reports of her departure to The Mirror earlier this year. If Lisa’s character Beth decides to leave the cobbles is still to be seen.
