After confirming her impending departure, the Coronation Street star shared a letter with her fans, to which they responded with support.

The actress has been a part of the ITV soap opera Beth Tinker for thirteen years. During an interview on This Morning on Wednesday, August 28, Lisa verified persistent reports that she would be leaving Weatherfield this year, even though she had previously denied any exit-related speculations.

For the first time, Lisa discussed her impending departure from Beth on This Morning, saying: “It’s strange.” It hasn’t really clicked with me yet. It won’t really hit home for me until after I’m off screen and realise that Friday will be the final scenes.

She revealed to hosts Craig Doyle and Sian Welby her preparations for her grand goodbye, saying, “I’ve got from drama school who’s coming over and we’re going to sit and watch it.” It’s a little frightening.

“Thank you for having me – and a special thank you to all of the Corrie fans for your support and love over the past 13 years,” Lisa said in the comments section after sharing a clip from the This Morning Instagram account on her own page. You will never understand how much that meant to me.”

And her supporters and admirers came through without delay. “We’ll miss you, best of luck for the future,” remarked @luvvforemans.”Oh no, I’m going to really miss you on Corrie. I wish you all the best,” commented @chloe2001992018. “It really won’t be the same without you,” said @lindesayk on Facebook. It is so terrible to see you go. I wish you well in the future.

“Hey Lisa, @siobhanmc022543 responded. I’m an avid Irish fan of Corrie. You’re a fantastic talent who added so much to the program. I wish you well in all of your future opportunities. “Ah, you will be sorely missed, along with your array of hair accessories,” @jeangilson continued. I hope the next phase of your life goes well for you.”

Regarding her departure, Corrie watchers have witnessed in recent weeks that Beth was sewing logos onto fake T-shirts using Underworld’s equipment as part of her dubious side business. However, Betsy, the daughter of DS Lisa Swain, who had started working at the plant as a work experience intern, rumbled Beth.

In order to protect her secret, Beth ultimately allowed sly Betsy to participate in her side project in exchange for a share of the earnings. But things began to fall apart when Beth told Betsy that she had gotten them a sizable T-shirt order from Sid and asked Izzy Armstrong to work with them.

Dodgy policeman Kit Green, who was observed surreptitiously working with Sid and his fake T-shirt company, swiftly put an end to Beth’s illegal enterprise and threatened to keep quiet as long as he received half the earnings. Since then, Beth has learnt of Kit’s secret and attempted to threaten him with violence to get £400 in exchange for her quiet.

However, Kit has now flipped the roles with Beth. If Beth did anything with the footage of Craig, Kit threatened to destroy Craig’s career by revealing to his supervisors the cover-up of the 2021 hit-and-run involving Faye Windass and Emma Brooker.

However, he later escalated his blackmail after witnessing Beth having an emotional chat with Daniel Osbourne, whom he knows has grown wary of his association with Nathan Curtis, the ex-abuser of his lover Bethany Platt. Afterwards, Kit did give Beth some of the money she had insisted on receiving in exchange for her silence, but he also informed her that she would now need to leave Weatherfield in order to protect Craig because he didn’t think she wouldn’t make love to him.
