Over the last several weeks, Caleb Miligan (William Ash) has been causing havoc on a variety of Emmerdale people as his plot to become the village’s only merchant takes shape.

As fans are aware, the resident schemer on the ITV serial opera intends to create an empire so large that he will drive out his sworn adversary Kim Tate (Claire King) and reclaim what he feels is rightly his heritage.

Though his recent actions against his wife Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) have been reprehensible, Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), who thinks he is in league with Caleb, is unaware that he is being duped.

The Hide’s previous owner sold his shares in HOP and demonstrated especially malice towards Laurel during the divorce process, making sure all of his assets are off the table at Caleb’s request.

However, Jai is unaware that Caleb isn’t genuinely his buddy or even a business partner; rather, the brother of Cain Dingle is just thinking about himself, and he will soon find this out the hard way.

Jai is not the only one in Caleb’s crosshairs, either, as Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) has also run afoul of the businessman who tipped off HMRC by putting red diesel in one of Home James’ transport trucks.

Will is unaware of Caleb’s role in the event, but things are not looking good for Home James Haulage since Caleb is prepared to step in and seize control of the company now that it is in serious trouble.

But the evildoer began to feel bad about how his plans would affect Jimmy King (Nick Miles), who is already having a lot of difficulties after her daughter Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) was imprisoned.

On Wednesday, Caleb lent a sympathetic ear. Jimmy mistakenly thought the handsome businessman was a buddy, not realising that he was not.

But even though Caleb has shown signs of remorse, he seems determined to carry out the plan. But is he underestimating Jimmy?

Is Jimmy the one who will finally bring him down and reveal his plot?

The patriarch of the King family undoubtedly has a lot on his plate at the moment, but it’s reasonable to assume that he loves the family haulage business, of which he has long been a part. As such, it may be that he is battling with everything he has in order to cling onto it.

Will he be able to confront cunning Caleb if this turns out to be the case?

It’s true that neither Caleb nor his wife Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) consider Jimmy as a danger, which may make Jimmy the perfect person to reveal their scheme as Caleb wouldn’t anticipate it.
