EastEnders ‘confirms’ Roxy Mitchell’s return after tragic death- but there’s a a twist

Although Roxy Mitchell of EastEnders was killed off in 2017, fans are confident the soap opera icon will soon make an unexpected reappearance.

Fans of EastEnders are forecasting Roxy Mitchell’s comeback, but with a twist.

Rita Simons’ portrayal of the legendary soap opera character debuted in 2007. Together with Samantha Womack’s character, Ronnie, the two rapidly won over fans.

And it’s safe to assume that Roxy contributed to a number of significant plots. She had a lot of drama throughout her tenure at Albert Square, from her failed marriages to her role as the Queen Vic’s landlord.

But after ten years in the soap opera, Roxy and Ronnie were sadly killed off in 2017. On the day of Ronnie’s wedding, the sisters met an early and tragic end by drowning together in one of the soap opera’s most contentious episodes ever.

But right now in the soap opera, Roxy’s daughter Amy’s (Ellie Dadd) situation has taken a drastic turn. At Peggy’s Bar, the adolescent developed a terrifying crush on her.

When Walford locals like Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) and Peter (Thomas Law) arrived to the location, they soon recognised that things were out of control.

Because of how packed Peggy’s was, all of the exits were blocked by the dense people. Panic began to set in for the club patrons who were trapped, including Amy Mitchell, an underage minor who had sneaked in.

After a while, the audience was able to leave, but there was more drama ahead. After being pushed into an ambulance, Amy experienced a heart arrest a few seconds later and was taken to the hospital.

She has stayed in the hospital ever then, but fans believe Amy’s mother Roxy would return unexpectedly in the form of a hallucination.

As viewers will remember, last year during a therapy session with her daughter Amy, Roxy made a prior appearance through a hallucination.

Social media users have expressed their hopes that Roxy will make a comeback. “I think it would be awesome to have some more dream scenes with Amy and Roxy… that’s what I am hoping for and then Amy recovers,” someone commented on a Reddit thread.

Another user expressed their belief that Amy may pass away by writing: “If the character actually did pass away, then I think Rita would come back for a split second to take her hand in hand into Heaven.

“She would undoubtedly be on her deathbed if Roxy had shown up to her during a counselling session when she was having trouble.” “Amy’s death brings back Roxy Mitchell, case closed thank you and goodbye,” wrote a third on X.

A another viewer pondered: “We should expect a ghost of Roxy to appear while Amy is receiving CPR. She could tell Amy to accompany her and Paddington towards the light or that it’s not their time yet but they will be together eventually.”
