According to reports, Sean Wilson has since introduced solicitors following his abrupt exit from Coronation Street.

There have been rumours circulating over the weekend that the soap star was fired.

Sean,59, last starred in the serial opera Corrie as Martin Platt in 1985 and left the show six years later.

His character is David’s father, and according to an ITV press release, the storyline of his return to the program will start when David finds him in the home and questions his intentions right away.

The celebrity had voiced his delight at returning to the soap opera, but not much else was disclosed.

On July 25, it was revealed that he will be joining the soap opera for the last scenes starring Helen Worth’s character, Gail Platt, as her tenure on the show draws to a conclusion.

The actor apparently had the sequences recorded before they were declared by ITV as having “stepped down for personal reasons.” The scenes were supposed to be released in October.

The actor may have been fired, a source has since revealed to The Sun. “It has come as a complete and utter shock to everyone – and his sudden exit has rocked everyone involved with Corrie,” the source said.

Sean was a huge hit on set and was enjoying his time on the show. After filming sequences with a large number of the actors, he was abruptly called to head office. Later, word leaked out that he wouldn’t be returning or having his parts aired, but no reason was given.

The managers must now develop a new, magical, happy ending for Helen, which is obviously a huge blow, but they are certain they’ll pull it out of the bag and provide fans with something amazing.

However, as things continue to unfold, a fresh update reveals that Sean departed the ITV set “more than two weeks ago” and is currently involving “lawyers.”

In reality, Sean has been absent for some time. A insider also told the newspaper, “A lot of people around the set didn’t know, but it all happened more than two weeks ago.”

Even among the current and former cast members, “The Sun’s story was the first many knew about it, so it’s been quite a shock and now a big talking point.” Whatever it is, lawyers are involved because Coronation Street’s most top employers aren’t authorised to talk about it.

In light of this information, there are rumours that 55-year-old actor John Thomson, of Cold Feet and Fast Show, will take over Sean’s former role as Jesse Chadwick.

We’ll have a few months to meet up with Martin and Gail again, following the ebbs and flows of the emerging plot, Sean previously stated in a press release about his pleasure about returning to the program.

It has been a pleasure to play Martin from the beginning, and I feel as though I’ll be picking up where I left off, which will definitely hurt the Platt family’s feelings.

It’s like pulling on a cosy, well-worn sweater from the back of the closet.I can’t wait to get back together with my TV family.
