Fans of Coronation Street believe caretaker Cassie Plummer is playing Ken Barlow, so they fear he might “lose everything.”
Fans of Coronation Street are concerned that Ken Barlow—portrayed by the legendary William Roache—might be defrauded of his money in a heartbreaking turn of events.
Following a recent fall, the Weatherfield legend has been placed in the care of Cassie Plummer, played by Claire Sweeney, who was brought into the Barlow home to take care of her.
At first, Cassie’s advances were sincere, but watchers have become wary, especially after Ken told her about his £50K premium bond victory.
In a recent episode that aired on Monday, Ken’s son-in-law, Steve McDonald, expressed his misgivings about Cassie’s motivations after learning that she intended to treat Ken to a lavish spa day. He wondered if Cassie would leave him at the hotel or if she was taking advantage of him for a “free holiday.”
Cassie, however, justified herself by stating that she enjoys Ken’s companionship and that caretakers are frequently disregarded. Fans expressed their concerns on Twitter, which is now X.

In yet another twist on Monday’s episode, Kate Ford seemed to say goodbye to Tracy Barlow on Coronation Street once more after making a surprise return.
Following a disagreement with her boyfriend Tommy Orpington, with whom she had relocated to Spain earlier this year and had an affair, leaving her husband Steve devastated, Tracy returned to Weatherfield.
As they emerged from the cobbles once again, Tracy offered her ex some advise, pointing out that Cassie clearly had feelings for him. She recommended that the two go on a date and see where it goes.
Fans have speculated that Cassie could be tricking Ken, so will Steve suffer heartbreak once more?
