It has been reported that Michael Parr, an Emmerdale star, would be rejoining the show after a six-year hiatus. The performer is returning to the character of Ross Barton, whose arrival is expected to cause a stir in the community.

After five years in the village, fans will remember that Ross and Rebecca White left in 2018 to start a new life in Liverpool. Ross had a great deal of difficult situations throughout that period.

Ross’ turbulent relationships with Debbie Dingle and Donna Windsor were also well-known. Sadly, his first romance ended with Donna killing herself when she jumped over a parking lot roof with suspicious criminal Gary North. Given how much Ross had loved Donna, her passing crushed him.

Afterwards, Ross had a covert relationship with Debbie Dingle, who was fianced to his brother Pete. When it became out that Ross had a one-night affair with Debbie’s mother Charity and became pregnant with baby Moses, this came to an end.

Although Ross was also involved in a number of risky plots, one of which involving the murder of his brother Pete, he is most known for the poignant account of his struggle with melancholy while recuperating from a severe acid attack.

Additionally, his presence in the hamlet is likely to incite rivalries and stir up tensions as some old scars haven’t fully healed. Michael expressed his happiness at returning to Emmerdale in a statement.

I really like Ross as a character, and I’m looking forward to learning more about his adventures during the last five years. I’m excited for the audience to see what’s in store after reading the scripts. I can assure you that there will be pyrotechnics when Ross returns.

“We are delighted to have Michael back at Team Emmerdale, playing the unforgettable and charismatic bad boy Ross Barton once again,” producer Laura Shaw said. The instant Ross reappears on film, he has a profound effect and upends some of our villagers’ lives right away.”

She continued: “Chaotic, wild and reckless, Ross is absolutely going to shake up the village and prove it’s never quiet with a Barton boy back in town.”
