In Emmerdale, Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) is spending her first Christmas without her father Dan Spencer (Liam Fox). It appears that a cruel turn of events may mean that she won’t see him at all.
Dan killed a man with a single blow and is currently serving an eight-year sentence for it. Amelia’s life abruptly changed when he was hauled off the dock after being found guilty.
In addition to losing her rock, she also lost her house.
She is currently living with Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and getting by on the meagre handouts the Dingles are able to provide her with as well as the little money she is able to make.
There’s nothing like spending Christmas Day with your dad, even though Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) is still a huge support system. However, it appears that Amelia’s wish will not be granted.
Amelia has the heartbreaking realisation that it would be too expensive for her to visit him.
In an attempt to make up for it, she accepts an additional shift at the salon, but this comes with its own set of issues because she lacks childcare.
Amelia approaches Angelica, pleading with her to watch Esther for a few hours, as she needs a cheap sitter. Angelica concurs, but her focus is not really on the task at hand.
As soon as Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling) appears, she notices it.
Taking care of a baby seems to be the last thing she wants to do. Will Esther find herself in danger as she gets sidetracked from her responsibilities?
