EastEnders spoilers: Devastating development as Gina believes rapist Dean over victim Linda

Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) has persisted in believing that he did not rape Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) in 2014 ever since he returned to EastEnders.

He took advantage of this a few weeks ago after he was knocked down the stairs during an altercation with George (Colin Salmon).

George was serving a suspended sentence for assault; therefore, any further involvement with the police could have resulted in his imprisonment.

Linda was so upset about this that she decided to visit Dean at the hospital in an attempt to clear George’s name.

There, Dean consented to report to the authorities that he had fallen down the stairs—as long as Linda admitted to lying about being raped.

Next, Dean receives a surprise visit from his sick daughter Jade.

The newcomer goes to the pub by herself and makes friends with Gina (Francesca Henry). She then goes to her brother Zaair’s grave, who was the son of Shabnam Masood and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).

After that, Jade bemoans her own prognosis and brushes off Dean’s attempts to console her. However, she decides to give him another chance after speaking with Gina about her parents’ absence.

Linda is experiencing emotional distress this week as she prepares to celebrate Christmas without Mick (Danny Dyer).

Then, when she gets a picture from Dean, she becomes extremely angry. He is at the Beale’s Eels new grotto with Ollie, dressed as Santa.

When Linda approaches him and lets loose, Keanu (Danny Walters), who is also present, informs Jade that her father is a predator of sex.

With cystic fibrosis, Jade is absolutely appalled and departs from Walford.

Dean and Gina are chatting in the pub.

Gina tells Dean during their conversation that she thinks better of him than Linda, but what will he do with this knowledge?

Furthermore, what effect will Gina’s growth have on Linda’s bond with the Knight family?
