In this Friday’s (December 8) episode of Coronation Street, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) exacted vengeance on Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), and he had no clue why.
Daniel learned last week that Ryan and Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) had slept together and that their affections for one another were real.
After some cunning work on the part of Simon (Alex Bain), who questioned why Daniel wasn’t plotting retaliation in tonight’s episode, Daniel found out about their secret.
Simon was told in a subtle way by Daniel that he had moved on from it and that he hoped Simon would too.
However, he hadn’t.
Daniel has this thing with being shrewd and crafty. Instead of taking Ryan down with a drink or fighting Gail (Helen Worth) or Eileen (Sue Cleaver) style on the street, he was going to do something cunning and unanticipated.
Knowing that Ryan had received a job offer, Daniel went to the gym and approached a staff member, ready to ruin Ryan’s reputation.
While Ryan was having drinks at the Bistro with Carla (Alison King) and Debbie (Sue Devaney), he got a letter from the gym that he wasn’t hired after all.
Ryan was devastated, poor guy. When Daisy and Daniel located him in Victoria Garden that evening, they discovered what had transpired.
Subsequently, Daniel proposed to Ryan that this may have been an indication for him to accept the Glasgow DJ position.
Ryan later contacted Crystal at Speed Daal and told her he needed a fresh start and that he may really want to go to Glasgow with her.
Ryan and Crystal didn’t realise Daniel was listening in on their chat as they celebrated.
If revenge is effective, will Daniel and Daisy be able to mend their relationship without Ryan’s presence?
