Coronation Street spoilers: Asha brings up dead Seb to devastate Nina

The heated exchange continued (Image: ITV).

The connection between Mollie Gallagher’s Nina Lucas and Tanisha Gorey’s Asha Alahan is still not easy.

Asha started talking a lot about her mentor Isla after starting her new work as a trainee paramedic.

While Asha likes spending time with Isla and learning from her, Nina feels left out and envious.

Nina recently told Shona (Julia Goulding) how she felt. She said that even though she’s making an effort to feel differently, she can’t help but be concerned about Asha and Isla’s bond.

In an effort to assist Nina, Shona had her contact list renamed Rob. Then, believing Asha would be upset, Shona began posing as Rob and sending texts to Nina’s phone.

In the show that aired on Friday, December 8, Asha persisted in talking to Nina about Rob.

Asha was devastated when Nina admitted that Shona was the source of the texts.

Nina tried to apologise to Asha when she got home, but she wasn’t feeling too sorry. She said that she was reminded of herself when Seb died by Nina’s “possessive” conduct.

Seb Franklin, Nina’s lover, was murdered in 2021 during a gang assault.

Following the incident, Nina’s battle with mental illness caused her to worry more and more that Asha’s life would be in jeopardy.

In an attempt to keep Asha safe, Nina once locked her in the café, preventing her from going to Glasgow.

Of course Asha is entitled to worry, but Nina was shocked by the unexpected reminder of Seb and how she used to be unhappy. She acknowledged that she would probably quit going out and have greater social anxiety if she lost Asha.

Curious, Asha informed Nina that she had been going out a lot lately alone herself, but Nina acknowledged it wasn’t really accurate.

Can the pair reconcile with all of the challenges they’ve been facing lately?

Will things improve, or will they worsen?
