Coronation Street spoiler video: Terrifying scenes as Ed is attacked at Christmas

This new video depicts Ed Bailey’s (Trevor Michael Georges) past coming back to haunt him, and it puts him in serious danger for tonight’s Coronation Street.

As his addiction grows out of hand, the compulsive gambler has gotten himself into a terrible financial situation. He even took out a payday loan to bet on the horses and used a credit card fraudulently.

He just spoke at a GA meeting and shared that he fears what lies ahead and that his family will reject him if they discover the truth.

Paul’s arrival this week with the money he owed Ed was a relief because it allowed him to finally pay handyman Tony (Sean Cernow), who worked on Paul’s flat, for his services.

However, upon observing the cash, Sarge (Ram John Holder), who is visiting from Domenica for the holidays, surmised that it was the £1k that Ed had pledged to provide him in order to support his enterprise.

Ed was given some cash by his ostentatious brother Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) to purchase drinks in the Bistro. However, a furious Tony believed that Ed was misusing his own money and had not yet made the payment.

Tony cornered Ed and threatened to withhold the money until today.

Ed, who is desperate, packs his luggage and makes the decision to go spend Christmas with his wife Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw), who is in Birmingham taking care of her sister.

However, he encounters Tony as he opens the door to leave Wetherfield and his issues behind.

An enraged Tony charges him with attempting to take advantage of his hard-earned money.

Ed begs Tony to allow him till the end of the week, claiming he hasn’t received his money.

However, Tony claims that unless Ed gets sick, his family will not be able to afford the gifts that are under the tree.

Tony answers Ed’s phone when it calls, recognises it’s Aggie, and declares, “A marriage shouldn’t have any secrets.”

Ed reaches for the phone, desperate and afraid Tony will tell Aggie he’s been gambling once more.

Tony loses his temper and punches him to the ground in terrifying images.

Now, what will become of Ed?
