EastEnders hints at murder outcome in final scenes before Christmas Day as The Six unite

In its last installment before the big one, EastEnders has hinted at what will happen in the much awaited Christmas Day murder—one resident will die in graphic images.

Fans of the BBC One soap opera have been anticipating a death during the holiday season for much of the year thanks to a historic flashforward scene that aired in February.

Six famous ladies were seen standing over a body: Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner). The bride-to-be, Sharon, then pronounced the mystery corpse person dead.

Over the last year, the matriarchs—now referred to by fans as The Six—have encountered a number of terrible men; EastEnders has confirmed that seven of these men may be their victims.

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), and Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) are the actors that play Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

Christmas will bring the death of one of them. But to whom?

On Christmas Day, EastEnders will provide a response to that query, unveiling shocking moments that will wrap up the almost year-long mystery.

But before then, on Friday’s (December 22) episode, the ladies could be seen getting together at the carol concert, when Delroy Atkinson’s character Howie Danes amazed everyone with his heavenly performance of O Holy Night.

Suki, who had reconnected with her true love, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), was ecstatic to be watching the performance. She was blissfully oblivious that Nish and Ravi Gulati were about to be released from jail.

While this was going on, Sharon Watts thought about how she was hiding something from her soon-to-be husband Keanu, who is unaware that Albie isn’t his kid.

Denise was visibly upset over Jack’s recent one-night fling with Stacey, who looked at the detective. Over the last week, Jack’s nasty attitude towards both women has gotten out of hand.

Kathy was still fuming about Rocky’s treachery, while Linda seemed slightly drunk as she gazed at the rapist Dean, who had just hours before confessed to what he had done.

Viewers were taken to the Queen Vic pub at the end of the episode, when a camera lingered on the same location where the corpse would be recovered on Christmas Day.

However, who perishes? Who also commits murder? All you have to do is listen to find out.

The fact that Phil Mitchell, one of the seven guys, was absent from the concluding montage is what makes it interesting, however. Is this a sign of things to come?

BBC One’s EastEnders returns on Christmas Day at 9:45 p.m.
