There’s hardly time for Carla Connor (Alison King) to mourn her lost love following Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and her sorrowful Coronation Street parting when another distraction in the shape of her nephew Bobby (Jack Carroll) shows up. Bobby soon begins to attract everyone in Weatherfield with his charisma.

When Carla’s door buzzer sounds, she expects a pizza delivery. However, Bobby is there to answer the door and introduce himself as her brother Rob Donovan’s (Marc Baylis) son. Because of his role in Tina McIntyre’s (Michelle Keegan) murder, Rob is imprisoned for life.

Bobby begins with a tearful tale about his family, but Carla soon finds herself on the phone with Rob, who shares with her the details of his baby.

Bobby is allowed to remain for a few weeks as long as he follows Carla’s ground rules.

When a vehicle pulls up in the street and Bobby discovers his mother has shipped all of his material belongings, “a few weeks” suddenly becomes an interminable period of time. After determining that Carla needs more room, Simon (Alex Bain) offers to let Bobby use his room while he stays with his mother.

When Bobby’s hiring was revealed, Jack said, “I hope Bobby brings viewers a lot of laughs in the vein of some of the street’s classic comedy characters.” The comedian and actress first gained notoriety at the age of 14 after competing on Britain’s Got Talent.

Live at the Apollo, Jason Manford’s Funny Old Week, and Saturday Night at the London Palladium were the next events to take place. Additionally, Jack has finished his first national live tour.

Bobby makes an impression right away when he sets his eyes on a Corrie woman, and he doesn’t hold back.

As far as Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is concerned, Bobby is far out of his league. The hotel owner is a few years Bobby’s senior, independent, fiery, gorgeous, and in a relationship with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan).

But until Auntie Carla drags him back home, Bobby sees no harm in testing out his charms on her—in the bar of her own hotel, no less.
