This Christmas in Emmerdale, Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) life was in jeopardy when Damon Harris (Robert Beck) made the decision to abduct him in order to exact revenge on behalf of his daughter Chloe (Jessie Elland).

Midway through the ordeal, Chloe had a change of heart and made the decision to assist Mack in getting away, but her efforts were in vain since he was soon apprehended.

Unaware that Chas and Charity Dingle (Lucy Pargeter and Emma Atkins) had seen the two leaving the village together, Damon hauled Chloe back to where he was being detained after figuring out that she was the reason behind Mack’s attempt to escape.

Charity recognised that Mack must be in danger when she saw that Damon was the man who had abducted her back in October, and they quickly followed them to the factory.

Charity concluded that Mack had to be close when she heard Chloe calling Damon “dad.” This verified Charity’s suspicions.

Fortunately, Charity intervened to save Chas after she was grabbed by one of Damon’s heavies, throwing them off course.

To Chloe’s dismay, back in the main room, Damon had finally decided it was time to end Mack’s suffering.

He was horrified to see Charity slinking into the room as Chloe pleaded with her father not to kill Mack.

Before anybody could respond, Charity pushed herself at Damon, who had lifted his rifle and demanded that Chloe move aside. The two then engaged in a gunfight.

Mack and Chloe were startled when a bullet broke out during this dispute.

It was quickly evident that Charity had her finger on the trigger and that Damon was heavily bleeding as they began to distance themselves from one another.

All Charity, Chloe, and Mack could do was stare in shock as Damon slumped to the ground.

Is Damon going to live through this gunshot, or has Charity killed a man?
