Viewers of CORONATION Street were taken aback when Ed Bailey turned to robbing his brother Ronnie Bailey of money.
Eventually, dad, brother Ronnie (Vinta Morgan), and children Michael (Ryan Russell) and Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) discovered the falsehoods that Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) had been telling.
After seeing video of their father cashing in the gifts, they discovered their father had lied to them about their home being broken into just before Christmas.
The news and Ed’s admission that they could lose the home due to his gambling addiction shocked the family.
Ed told his family, nevertheless, that he had a strategy to help them overcome their financial difficulties.
Later on, Ed was seen posing as his brother Ronnie and making a call to a bank.
He asked for a security pin, then asked for money to be sent from his bank account to his “brother.”
The audience watched in disbelief as Ed pretends to steal from his sister, reaching a new low.
