After enjoying a wonderful Christmas in EastEnders, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) is about to be pulled into another chaotic scenario, this one involving Pastor Clayton and a curry.
Initially, the mother gave her all to the Christmas chorus, putting her in direct competition with Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe).
Everything began when Sonia Fowler (played by Natalie Cassidy) proposed that Albert Square might benefit from having a communal chorus. Elaine and Yolande naturally wanted to run it.
When landlord Elaine tried to use alcohol as a kind of coercion to get people to join up, Yolande was not thrilled.
Yolande and her soulmate Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), who brought us all joy when they reconciled earlier in the summer, are now scheduled to visit the teenagers’ New Year’s Eve celebration.
They took a crate of alcohol from the Minute Mart, and when they realised it was empty, they were heartbroken.
They deliver church flyers, and Yolande pledges to preserve their secret.
Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) is appalled when it is implied that Yolande’s love of the church may be about more than simply her faith, namely Pastor Clayton.
Denzel hesitantly agrees to assist at the soup kitchen because he thinks there may be a romantic relationship between Yolande and Pastor Clayton.
However, the young man loses it and purposefully spills a hot curry on him after misinterpreting a scenario involving Yolande and the Pastor.
