Zak Dingle has received an update from Emmerdale after the actor Steve Halliwell passed away earlier this month.

With a little assistance from some special visitors, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) proposed to Tom King (James Chase) in a recent scene.

It’s no secret that Tom adores Torvill and Dean, the ice skaters, so when he discovered that two reindeer with the same name had landed in the Emmerdale village instead of the famous pair, he was upset.

As a result, Belle decided to postpone her proposal in order to make sure it would be truly memorable and wonderful.

But Sam Dingle (James Hooton), who had a birthday present for her, stopped her when she tried to ask him out on Christmas Day.

Still fervent to further her relationship with Tom, she was overjoyed to learn that Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) had connections, and before long, the ideal proposal was prepared.

Leyla disclosed that she had borrowed a favour from Torvill and Dean, who skated around the rink while Belle proposed to him, after she had bundled a blinded Tom onto an ice rink.

Tom quickly agreed, calling that the happiest day of his life, and the two of them, along with Torvill and Dean, walked back to the Woolpack.

At that moment, Belle disclosed that she had just gotten off the phone with her father, Zak, who had approved of the marriage and expressed his happiness at their extreme happiness.

Prior to the announcement of actor Steve Halliwell’s passing earlier this month, Zak was last seen on film in June.

Emmerdale issued a statement announcing the unfortunate news, which said:

Emmerdale can report with great grief and a heavy heart that our beloved Zak Dingle, Steve Halliwell, has died away peacefully.

We would ask that his family, friends, and loved ones’ privacy be respected while they grieve for his death. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this extremely trying time.

“Steve will always be associated with Emmerdale.” The leader of the Dingle family and a passionate defender. It has always been hard not to grin when you think of him because of his heart and sense of humour in whatever he accomplished.
