Just before disclosing her previous behaviour, Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) accepts the best offer from Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).
Fans will be aware that Cassie is still up to her old antics after witnessing her pilfer a vehicle. When Roy Cropper (David Neilson) had to go shopping for a particular Christmas present for Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman), the mechanic took the automobile.
Even worse, Kevin and Abi Webster (Sally Carman) quickly find out that the fancy automobile has a large ding on the side.
Cassie is ready to tell Kevin and Abi the truth in tonight’s episode, but Kevin outwits her and offers her a permanent job at the garage instead.
Cassie had already claimed that Abi had resumed drinking and had scraped the Porsche while intoxicated.
Given Abi’s history of alcohol and drug misuse, this is undoubtedly a serious accusation, and Abi was horrified that Kevin gave Cassie’s answer any thought.
Roy also pushed Abi to come clean since he felt that she was blaming Cassie for her behaviour.
By phoning the owner of the Porsche to pick up his vehicle and then feigning ignorance, Cassie puts undue strain on the pair.
Kevin vents his rage on Abi once more. In an effort to preserve her new position, will Cassie eventually come clean about what she did, or will she remain silent?
