In recent EastEnders scenes, when Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) revealed that son Albie had been abducted, Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) worst nightmare came true.
When the people of Albert Square started attempting to locate Albie, Sharon was utterly terrified, and this will likely continue in the days ahead.
Fearing for her son’s safety, Sharon hides the ransom note from the authorities while the search for Albie goes on.
She eventually tells Phil Mitchell and Kat (Jessie Wallace and Steve McFadden), though, and they agree to lend her the money so she can pay the ransom.
Naturally, Albie hasn’t actually been abducted, and Keanu soon finds himself furious with Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) for allowing things to go to this extent.
She will, however, shortly be sending a second ransom note containing information about the drop’s time and location.
While Phil is eager to take drastic measures, Sharon is committed to following the kidnapper’s instructions to the letter in order to protect Albie.
Keanu demands to be the one to leave as he becomes agitated, fearing that the game may be over.
Sharon ultimately decides that they ought to go together, which puts Keanu in a challenging situation.
Karen demands that the exchange be made alone in a covert text message to Sharon from a burner phone in an effort to keep their involvement from being discovered.
At position 43, Keanu successfully persuades Sharon to allow Karen to take the lead, expressing his concerns that Phil’s dictatorial nature could lead to issues.
Karen needs to act normal to avoid raising suspicions when she leaves to pick up Albie from Malcom.
