Emmerdale’s James Moore reveals wedding update in sweet message

James Moore, a star of Emmerdale, updated his fans on his impending nuptials.

The actor, who portrays Ryan Stocks in the program, asked his girlfriend Sophie to marry him last year.

James posted a heartfelt farewell on social media on their fourth anniversary in June, stating: “4 years today with my favourite person, my partner, my best friend, and now my fiancé too!!” I’m incredibly fortunate and appreciative of everything you do for me, including watching out for me and being there at all times!

James recently posted an adorable message along with a picture of Sophie on Instagram, stating, “One year from today, we’ll be getting married.” I’m eager for us to begin our forever together.

Since 2018, James has acted in Emmerdale. A few weeks ago, Ryan began a new storyline in which he learned that his son Oscar was ill and in the hospital.

Following their processing of the information, Ryan and his partner Gail (played by Rachel Gill-Davis) submitted their names for the stem-cell transplant that Oscar would require as part of his treatment.

Soon after Oscar’s birth, Ryan and Gail made the decision to offer him for adoption. When they were young, the couple conceded that he might have a better life from someone else.

Gail was disturbed by Ryan’s response when Oscar came back into his life. Upon reflection, James Moore recently shared with us that Ryan struggled with both his illness and his encounter with Oscar. Ryan believes that Oscar will reject him due to his disability because that is what he has experienced, so he has an internalized fear of that happening again. I believe he has been thinking about that for a while.

He said, “There’s the guilt Ryan feels and sometimes it’s hard to gauge where his head is at in terms of Oscar.”

He believes that by forsaking Oscar, he would be “abandoning my child.” He experiences the same guilt and fear. Not only is he disabled, but he also worries about what Oscar will think of him.
