Legend of Emmerdale Lisa Riley has acknowledged that her present position on the ITV soap opera as Mandy Dingle is her ideal job, to the point that accepting other offers of employment has become difficult. However, she could be prepared to reconsider.
I keep declining excellent parts because I like playing Mandy so much. The actress said, “Every year they offer me I’m A Celebrity, and every year I say no!”
Every year, they hold out that enormous carrot. I’ve always said “no,” but as I get older… In an interview with the Daily Star, Lisa made jokes. “I’m 47.” I think to myself, “Cor, I’m getting old.” However, I always feel like I’m 19 and that I will never be able to alter who I am. However, maybe if there was a significant occasion like my fiftieth birthday. Then maybe.
Therefore, it could only be a few more years till we see Lisa put her teeth into some tough difficulties. She is not at all concerned about the possibility of facing the very difficult obstacles that may be ahead.
“I believe I could manage.” She said, “I’m a coper if you ask anyone at Emmerdale, but I’m not sure if that’s good television.” I believe I would be rather dull.
Not the bugs, spiders, or emptying the terrible dunny that would scare Lisa the most about being in the forest.
“To be honest, I wouldn’t mind those,” she said. “I would be extremely bored in that place.” From the minute I get up until I go to bed, I am very energetic. I would go mad if I had to sit in camp all day. I would need constant stimulation.
I would be my typical self—confident. Around the fire, I would be doing dance routines. If you placed me in a tank full of cockroaches, I believe I could handle it.
Lisa said that she most certainly would not be appearing in the next season of I’m A Celebrity. Later this month is when it begins, and as usual, rumours about who could be travelling to Australia are starting to circulate.
The actress on Emmerdale is now very busy since she is central to many major storylines. During a special week of episodes, Lydia brought together the majority of the Dingles in the Woolpack and questioned them about where they were when Craig Reed (Ben Addis) was slain.
The audience progressively learnt via flashbacks over the week that, while Sam beat Craig up (and has since been jailed), the killing blow really came from Kim Tate’s (Claire King) horse in a bizarre occurrence. The guy who had raped Lydia (Karen Blick) was discovered in one of the Home Farm fields.
Meanwhile, when Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) sobbed and revealed to Mandy that he had Parkinson’s disease, Mandy is holding a very important secret.
In tearful moments, Mandy attempted to console him and pushed him to inform Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) and David (Matthew Wolfenden), but Pollard had sworn her to silence.
