To honour co-star and friend Jane Danson’s birthday, Samia Longchambon of Coronation Street has shared some amazing old photos.
On social media today, November 8, Jane, who portrays Leanne Battersby in the show, has posted many greetings from her pals in honour of her birthday.
One of them, who has been playing Maria Connor since 2000, is from Samia.
On her Instagram Stories, Samia put together a collage of images that included many of her and Jane taken throughout the course of their many years of friendship.
Have an amazing day! Samia added, “Here’s to many more years of you!” next to it.
Since 1997, Jane has alternated between the role of Leanne. Leanne, the sister of Georgia Taylor’s Toyah, is often seen working at the Bistro with Nick and Ryan.
Leanne was a part of a narrative that culminated in Natasha Blakeman’s (Rachel Leskovac) death two years before during Super Soap Week.
Drug dealer Harvey (Will Mellor) returned to the cobbles in an attempt to get vengeance on Leanne after he broke out from a prison van.
Harvey intended to murder Leanne, but he killed Natasha instead since they were dressed alike for Halloween, like Morticia Addams.
This severely damaged young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), and it took him a long time to accept his mother’s passing and go on with his life.
Sam convinced Nick and Leanne that he wanted to see his mother’s murderer in jail, which brought up horrifying memories of Halloween 2021.
