Paula Lane makes an explosive debut to Emmerdale and promptly brands character a ‘scrotum’

In the Emmerdale episode airing on Tuesday, January 16, a well-known face—former Coronation Street actress Paula Lane—arrived in the Dales.

Ella Forster, Paula’s persona, made her public debut at the vets’ ball held in the Hide. Ella served as the PA for a blustery and demanding managing director named Jules (Wayne Cater), who was already agitating and shoving people about before the event had even officially begun.

His deplorable actions intensified with the arrival of Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley). Mandy had taken the advice to “dress to impress” seriously when she accepted the invitation. She was dressed in a black gown reminiscent of Liz Hurley’s legendary 1990s outfit, held together by adornment safety pins.

Jules, who found him amusing, continued calling Mandy “Liz.” Even worse for her, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) seemed to be embarrassed of Mandy and hesitated to confront Jules.

Thankfully, Ella was there to act as an advocate. She was obviously fed up with her boss’s vindictive and abusive behaviour and no longer gave a damn about retaining her job. She had enough when she heard Jules yelling at Mandy again.

Paula Lane said, “It’s the last straw when she just watches him humiliate Mandy, and she really wants to stand up for her.” “And I consider that; clearly, Mandy just observes that.”

Ella, dressed like a superhero in scrubs, approached Jules and said that the only thing bothering her was “the whining scrotum I get to call my boss.”

Jules began to inform Ella that if this was her method of turning in her notice, Mandy should stop trying to stifle her laughter, but she interrupted him.

“It’s not,” she said. “This is,” he said, and covered his head with the contents of a pint glass.

Mandy burst out laughing, and it seems like a wonderful relationship has begun since Ella will soon be relocating permanently to the hamlet.

Paula said, “She’s a good friend to have.” And they simply feel this spark right away. And from there, it progresses.

The actress, who departed from Coronation Street eight years prior to the death of her character Kylie Platt, made a clue about what we could anticipate from her character in the next episodes.

She is 29 years old. She is a professional lady who is unmarried. She’s not shy, but she also doesn’t hold back while speaking. She seems like a great buddy to have on your side, in my opinion. She also sort of immediately becomes friends with Mandy, which I believe will make them a terrific duo. I’m very happy about that.

Paula said that romance may be in the works for Ella, who is set to join the team at the new General Practitioner’s office on Main Street.

There is a little amount of competition and perhaps some pyrotechnics. There’s a little triangle of affection. On the other hand, one never knows what could occur in private. Working out of the new surgery, I’ll be right in the middle of the community.
