Emmerdale spoilers: Shattered Charity Dingle begs for it all to stop after another harrowing ordeal

Emmerdale’s Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who killed a man, is at her lowest point.

During Christmas, Charity killed Chloe’s (Jessie Elland) father, Damon Harris, in a confrontation. Despite the seeming heroism of taking another person’s life, Charity’s decision to use a pistol to rescue Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) is having a significant negative effect on her mental state.

We’ve seen little flashes of Charity’s PTSD during the last several weeks. She’s yelled at Moses, admitted that she hasn’t been getting enough sleep, and said that she’s been having flashbacks ever since the gun went off.

After being reminded of her actions once again, Charity (Natalie J. Robb) lost her temper with Moira yesterday, January 18. Charity’s scream was so intense that she threw Moira against a wall before storming into her home.

Moira followed Charity tonight, eager to learn what was happening.

After murdering Damon, Charity eventually broke down and admitted to Moira that she was unable to control her intense feelings.

Reminding Charity that she didn’t murder Damon on purpose—rather, she did it to rescue Mackenzie—moira tried to comfort her, but it didn’t really work.

As they spoke, Moira revealed a secret from her history that was comparable to Charity’s experience. She said that she killed Emma Barton in 2017 and that the experience almost killed her after it consumed her so much.

After getting to know Moira, Charity inquired about her expected return date for her normalcy.

Charity was advised by Moira to be more forthcoming with Mackenzie, but she was reluctant. If Charity followed her instincts, she would find Mackenzie leaving the village to go locate Chloe and Reuben—a job that could be less difficult than taking care of her.

Charity attempted to force herself to talk to her lover when Mack got home.

Unfortunately, Charity was so tired that her attention was diverted to obtaining more sleep.

Charity went to sleep again when Mackenzie left, but as she closed her eyes, she saw Damon was shot once again.

Panicking, Charity sat up, wanting the chaos to end.

But will she ask for assistance soon?
