On Tuesday, January 23, Coronation Street had dramatic events that left fans wondering what would happen to one specific character. Tuesday night saw the return of the long-running ITV soap opera on our screens for its most recent episode.

During the episode, Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) was the target of months of bullying, which culminated in violence. Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) and his buddy Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) had been harassing the adolescent for some time now.

So far, the two had managed to pilfer his phone from him. Liam had been staying away from school as a result, but his mother Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) eventually discovered what was going on with her son.

According to Mickey North’s portrayal of his stepfather Gary Windass, bullies only reacted violently. When Liam got back to school, she heard Dylan ask Mason in the hallway whether he was going to return the phone.

Mason chuckled and informed Dylan that “he’s a dead man” if Liam showed up for their appointment. Then Liam gave Mason a cold look and assured him he would be there.

Dylan forewarned Liam against seeing Mason, but Liam insisted it was time to confront him. Liam heard Dylan call him a loser as he walked up to Mason and his friends.

Liam shoved Dylan against a wall after Mason prodded him, and when their teacher Mrs. Crawshaw showed there, Dylan collapsed on the ground. Mason then made up an excuse to say that Liam had assaulted Dylan without cause.

Mrs. Crawshaw summoned Dylan and Liam to her office, unaware of the true situation, and Liam insisted that Mason’s story was accurate.

Gary gave Maria reassurance at home that they would survive the hardship. But when PC Craig Tinker arrived on their house to let them know that Liam had been the subject of an assault allegation, they were taken aback.

Many fans shared their negative predictions on X, the previous Twitter platform, where they posted their reactions. As @Jamal06122771 observed: “Poor Liam,” @drewbagss tweeted: “Really hoping Liam doesn’t die in this storyline #Corrie.” It’s not going to end nicely. #Corrie.

“#Corrie Prediction that will include Liam, a knife, and a court case,” speculated @senoJ_asiL. “The indicators are gradually intensifying and going unnoticed,” @saturnexpress said, adding, “I’m scared for little Liam #Corrie.”

Others voiced their annoyance at Liam’s deceit in order to protect Mason. Liam, please speak the truth! Don’t lie!” demanded @mishybabez_. @RyanTheSoapking continued, saying, “Oh Liam… stop covering for Mason. #Corrie.” #Corrie.

@SARamsay1 commented, saying: “I’m sad that Liam isn’t refuting Dylan’s claim, but I think it’s because he doesn’t want to get even with Mason, who would only make him bully him more! Regarding the show, @PinkWyldflower said, “This teacher isn’t very observant. #Corrie.” Dylan is really harassing Liam and anybody who supports Mason. Someone has to say something. This is really absurd! #Corrie.
