Paula Lane, star of Emmerdale, announced her happy news of welcoming a new family member.
The 37-year-old actress, who is most known for her role as Coronation Street’s Kylie Platt, just debuted on Dales as Ella Forster.
Paula and her soap opera star husband Tom Shaw are parents to two children, Arthur and Penny, and based on her most recent Instagram picture, it seems that their family has grown.
The actress from soap operas posted a photo of herself holding a little child’s hand with the comment, “Absolutely besotted with you Allie ???????????? My great niece ❤️.”
As soon as Paula received congrats from her admirers, @justinraff2021 responded, saying, “Aww, congratulations to you Paula and your niece Allie is so adorable.”

Ella arrived on Emmerdale last week, when she met Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) at a veterinarian ball. Ella served as the PA for a blustery and demanding managing director named Jules (Wayne Cater), who was already agitating and shoving people about before the event had even officially begun.
When Mandy showed there, he behaved even worse. She was gorgeous, wearing a black dress that was reminiscent of Liz Hurley’s famous 1990s gown and held together with ornate safety pins.
Paula responded to all of the beautiful remarks on social media by writing, “So many lovely messages about @emmerdale and Ella – feeling enormously grateful to be a part of this show.” I have had such warm reception from everyone, and this is the best start I could have asked for.
Regarding Ella, the character she portrayed, she said, “She is 29.” She is a professional lady who is unmarried.
She isn’t flinty, but she also doesn’t hold back. She seems like a great buddy to have on your side, in my opinion. She also sort of immediately becomes friends with Mandy, which I believe will make them a terrific duo. I’m very happy about that.
