Emmerdale spoilers: Nicola King shocks with low blow in an attempt to save Angel from prison

Recently, on Emmerdale, Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) admitted that she was the one driving the vehicle when Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling) passed away. Previously, Heath’s sister Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) had been held accountable as it was she who had been seen driving the vehicle out of the hamlet.

Angel’s parents, Jimmy and Nicola (Nick Miles and Nicola Wheeler), were completely taken aback by her statement and went into guarded mode right once.

Jimmy attempted to persuade Angel to tell the authorities a false narrative and maintain that Cathy had been the driver, but Angel was unable to maintain the charade.

In later episodes, Nicola is saddened to learn that Angel is likely to get a jail sentence from Ethan (Emile John).

Angel begs Jimmy not to let her know that she may end up in jail, but Jimmy questions whether it would be better to have their daughter ready for that possibility.

Nicola, who is becoming more and more upset, considers lying as a means of getting out of the situation once again, but it doesn’t seem possible.

If they can demonstrate that Angelica’s moment of insanity was the only reason she took the wheel, then there is a glimmer of hope; apart than that, she is a decent person.

Nicola is surprised when Charles (Kevin Mathurin) says he’s not ready to provide a character reference for the girl, even though she knows that the local vicar’s character reference would be helpful.

Naturally, this isn’t the first time Nicola and Charles have argued, and she doesn’t waste time pointing out that it’s usually because of Charles’s daughter Naomi (Karene Peter).

Nicola was beaten assaulted and left for dead in a parking lot by a group of girls that Naomi was a member of. After the incident, Nicola suffered from weeks of emotional pain and suffering, which was exacerbated by Naomi’s presence in the hamlet at the time.

Naomi ultimately assisted in bringing the other members of the gang to prison, and Nicola and Charles seemed to have reconciled, but it’s obvious from Nicola’s actions that even if she may have forgiven, she hasn’t forgotten Naomi.

And since she worries about the future of her own kid, she’s prepared to sling whatever mud she can at Charles.
