Fans of Coronation Street were shocked to learn Jane Danson’s true age.

Yesterday, November 8, was the actress’ birthday. She plays Leanne Battersby in the show. On social media, she has shared several messages from her pals.

As she posted the required birthday selfie to Instagram, Jane could be seen grinning broadly.

She penned: ‘Thank you for so many lovely birthday messages . It’s been a lovely day😍 . You know you’re getting older (45) when you’ve been out for birthday tea but grateful to be back home in your pj’s by 7:15 !’

While fans rushed to wish the former Dancing on Ice star a happy birthday, Jane’s age was also a popular talking point in the comments.

One person wrote: ‘Happy birthday lovely ❤️❤️ you don’t look a day over 30 .. secret please.’

Another said, “Jane doesn’t age.” You look fantastic.

This happens after Corrie actress Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor, posted a collage of photos on her Instagram Stories that included numerous images of Jane taken over the course of their many years of friendship.

Since 1997, Jane has alternated between the role of Leanne. Sister to Toyah (Georgia Taylor), Leanne can often be seen working in the Bistro alongside Nick (Ben Price) and Ryan (Ryan Connor).

Leanne was a part of a narrative that culminated in Natasha Blakeman’s (Rachel Leskovac) demise two years prior during Super Soap Week.

Jane was spotted cuddling up to her husband Robert Beck in a birthday photo.

Robert and Jane were married in December 2005 at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Lancashire. They first met at the 1999 British Soap Awards.

Rob is without a doubt my best buddy in the world, Jane has remarked of her spouse in the past. In twenty years, we’ve only had roughly two rows.

“It’s not that we don’t occasionally irritate one another, but we’re a solid team and have always respected each other’s individuality.”
