Fans of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street are certain they’ve exposed Lauren Bolton’s “kidnapper” as the compelling plot keeps airing.

Viewers of Coronation Street believe they have taken down Lauren Bolton’s “kidnapper.”

In future episodes, Weatherfield legend Roy Cropper is mistakenly detained and under suspicion for the potential murder of his former employee Lauren. Troubled youngster Lauren had just up and abruptly left the cobbles, and her previous comments that she was planning to leave Weatherfield had left love interest Bobby worried when he discovered her flat unlocked and Lauren nowhere to be seen.

Fans of soap operas never saw Lauren go, and judging on her quick disappearance, it appears she only notified Roy about her plan and not anyone else close to her. In a recent episode, a worried Bobby called Lauren’s apartment once more and got no response. He then went to the police station and filed a missing person’s complaint. Bobby grew increasingly wary of Roy on Friday night, particularly after seeing that the character was cleaning Lauren’s apartment when he was merely attempting to assist.

In the next scenes, audiences will witness Daniel Osborne and Roy being wrongfully imprisoned for Lauren’s alleged murder, and things only get worse for Roy as DS Lisa Swain returns to the cobbles and becomes a regular on the soap opera. Soap fans have offered their theories as they grow engrossed in the plot and attempt to determine who kidnapped Lauren.

Viewers voiced their opinions by ruling out Joel Deering and Bobby on our Corrie spoilers and gossip group. As of late, viewers have grown skeptical of Bobby’s involvement in the case, particularly since he continues to visit Lauren’s apartment even though she is missing and has spoken about the character in the past tense, which has piqued the interest of watchful followers. Viewers of soap operas, however, were equally leery of Joel, particularly in light of the recent revelation that he had a secret wife and child.

But according to respondents to our research, viewers of soap operas believe that someone else is a part in the plot, ruling out Bobby and Joel. Although the identity of Lauren’s disappearance is still unknown, Roy’s situation is about to worsen due to his erroneous arrest.

Roy is arrested this week, on Friday, March 15, by the police to be questioned. In a terrible turn of events, as social media vigilantes and sleuths grow interested in the case and the local café owner’s possible participation, he finds himself virtually imprisoned in his own home when word of his detention spreads. Roy soon discovers that he is in danger everywhere, including in Roy’s Rolls, the car he loves so much, as two thugs lock him inside and demand to know what he did with Lauren.
